My Therapeutic Framework
My work is grounded in a strengths-based, positive psychology approach that draws on a range of evidence-based therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT). I have training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Level 1 and Schema Therapy Level 1. I also incorporate mindfulness-based practices, such as grounding, breathwork, and guided imagery, to support emotional regulation, mindfulness, and a deeper connection to self. My approach is trauma-informed and influenced by polyvagal theory, which means I pay close attention to nervous system regulation, safety, and the body’s role in healing.
I have experience working with neurodivergence, am kink-friendly, and welcome individuals living any form of lifestyle that feels most genuine to them.
Most importantly, my focus is on building a safe and trusting relational space for you to drop the expectations, take pause, and reflect - it is in our development of self-awareness that we find the courage to build a life that feels meaningful to us.

My Values Framework
-
Sex Positive and Kink Friendly
I am committed to providing a non-judgemental space that is sex-positive and sexual diversity friendly. I respect consensual and safe practices and help people feel safe exploring their desires. I aim to challenge stigma, shame, subjugation, and self-sacrifice.
-
Sharing Humanity
No one should have to carry their struggles alone. I am here to provide you with a space where we develop a partnership to share the messiness of being human. I am committed to slowing down and de-pathologising the human experience.
I am committed to modelling imperfection by acknowledging when I don’t have all the answers and when I make a mistake.
-
Integrity & Lifelong learning
I am committed to ethical and boundaried practice. I remain grounded within my scope and experience, regularly engage in professional development and supervision, and respect my own capacity. I say no so that when I do say yes - I mean it.
-
Taking up Space
At its core, Stone by Stone Psychology was developed to help people take up space - in life, relationships, and the world. It is an ongoing resistance to generations of silencing, numbing, loss, and disconnection to our minds, bodies, and others.
-
Intentional Communication & Pace
I try to practice what I preach by pausing, reflecting, and responding intentionally. I value thoughtful dialogue over urgency. This means that I am committed to responding to emails, texts/calls, and questions in a timely but paced way. It means that my therapeutic approach is often medium-longer term work.
-
Intersectional
My approach is feminist, queer inclusive, and all accepting. I recognise that identity is shaped by interconnected systems that can combine to create unique experiences of discrimination and privilege.
