Self-Compassion
Choosing to to step back and allow yourself to be fully human, mistakes and all, is more than personal growth; it is an act of rebellion in a society that thrives when we push ourselves past our limits and show up courageously as ourselves.
Self-compassion is the ability to relate to yourself with kindness, understanding, and care, especially in moments of struggle or pain. Rather than pushing emotions away or responding with criticism, self-compassion allows us to adopt a more supportive and balanced inner response to our challenges.
When self-compassion is lacking, people are more likely to experience anxiety, depression, shame, and burnout. Many people believe they must be hard on themselves to stay motivated or succeed, but this often leads to the opposite; feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. Self-compassion is a skill we learn like any other, and learning to become fiercely self-compassion creating space for growth.
